Kezzla card

Just had to jump at the chance of making a card with this Kezzla digi image from Sherri Baldy. http://www.etsy.com/shop/SherriBaldy  Used  a variety of dies on this and the delicious mirror card by Creata, along with their line paper.  Just had to give the digi her own set of wings x

one stamp two looks

I went for two completely different looks with this stamp.  The top image was using distress inks that were blended onto card, then using a 'crackle' stamp it gave a marbled look.  The mirror card from Creata set off the card with that opulent feel.

The second image was done with kraft card, again inking, stamping, embossing were all done to give a distressed and textured feel to it. Inked some lace to tie in with the look and added screw brads as detailing and some cogs.

Dillybeans digi

MMM more digi's that I am hooked on.  This adorable little chap is called Martin, he is also available as Martin's heart complete with a little heart.  http://sillydillybeans.blogspot.co.uk/.  I used an 8x8 card layered black and orange card, used Sheena Douglass crackle stamps etc to give a slight distressed look.  The sentiment is also from Sheena Douglass.  Coloured Martin in with promarkers, bright orange and tulip yellow, used warm grey 1 on the head.

Card for Glamour-eyes blog challenge

This is my entry for the challenge blog running in Glamour-eyes.  I thought of the image of the girl as being quite lost and alone, so an evacuation theme came to mind to honour and respect all families divided by war or conflicts.  Used sepia tone to colour the image and added freckles.  Layered time relevant papers and added flowers which are available from Wild Orchid Crafts x

correct digi for challenge lol

Here is the correct card for my DT sample for the challenge at http://artisticinspirationschallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

come and join in the fun and win goodies :)

For this card it is using a fantastic DR Digi's image.  I used coredination card stock onto and 8x8 blank card, then layered up using some mechanica papers from Kanban, the image was coloured in pro-markers.  I used a grid embossing folder for corner detail and a clock one to represent the 'time' for tea.  added brads for screw detail.

Artistic Inspirations challenge blog

Artistic Inspirations Challenge DT card

Well, a fantastic new week and I get to work with an extra design team full of talented crafter's.  Check out the challenge blog and feel free to enter for your chance to win some goodies!!

The image for the challenge is to be from http://www.doctor-digi.com/ (check out their great digi's), however me being me used a wrong digi, so I will be putting on the right one later.  (lack of sleep and too many great digi's make me a mere human and prone to errors).

I hope you like the digi I have used for the attached card until I add the correct one (lol). http://artisticinspirationschallenges.blogspot.co.uk/

As you can see one of the methods included in the card is the use of dry embossing.  I used a good old 'Winnie the Pooh' folder for the sign post and another background folder to cut out the flowers.  The papers are from Papermania (greens) and layered onto the fantastic mirror card from Creata, the small flower embellishment is also from Creata, along with the heart detailed border.  I used pro-markers for colouring the digi and had great fun doing the hair.  I hope you like it and will call back to see my Dr Digi image later.  Many thanks for dropping by :)

New challenge for UK besties challenge blog

Another exciting week in craft world. We have our second challenge over at http://mybestiesuk.blogspot.co.uk/.. pop over and join in the fun.  The challenge is using the colours pink, brown and turquoise with your fantastic Sherri Baldy digi.  Here's my example below.

I've made this card quite flat rather than 3d, the reason being although we love our crafting and being extravagant at times we also have to remember the postage costs :(.  I've done this on an 8x8 card, then used kraft card (Creata), spotted glittered card (Creata),  Pink large design peel-off's - yep you've guessed right they are also from Creata ,as is the die used for the heart border and the flower stamps which have been coloured in pro-markers. I've added two different spotted ribbons and two resin/wax flowers.

Feel free to check out the blogs of the other members of the Design Team for the UK Besties Challenge Blog :)

Have a fun crafting week everyone x

Besties of Oz entry

http://www.bestieschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/besties-of-oz-100-cash-prize-month-long.html

This is my cowardly lion entry to the Besties of Oz challenge blog.  As my cards are for charity I wanted to keep it relatively flat for postage but still with texture.  Of course I had to put a twist on the flying monkeys and turn them into monkey flutterflies lol x

visible image stamp used

Just gotta love Visible Image :)  Stamped the sentiment and image from the stamp set, coloured using pro-markers in pink and peach shades,, used Creata black mirror card for butterflies and the heart borders which were done using a die from Creata.  also used Creata Kraft card x  |Will be posting more of the Visible Image cards later this week.

quick card for http://creatachallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

Whoops, that dreaded moment when you think you have already done a card for a challenge, then realise you haven't!!  Made this for http://creatachallenge.blogspot.co.uk/  based on a given sketch.

Used normal black card stock for layering and the pink paper is from Creata's glittered paper pads, then used Creata's fab peel-offs to give more interest and then some of the Creata mirror board to make the butterfly wings and flourishes.. The sentiment is from the fabulous Visible Image and of course the image is a fantastic Sherri Baldy digi available from http://www.etsy.com/shop/SherriBaldy
