printer working!! yippeeeeee

So happy to finally have my printer working again.  I can now get back to printing digi's to colour.

I've started off with some gorgeous digi's from Julia Spiri.

The above has a bit of steampunk feel to it, using many different dies.  The metal embellishment is from steampunk junk by Bee Crafty.  The gorgeous digi is by Julia Spiri. Used corrugated card, distressed paper and lace for more texture.

Again using a Julia Spiri digi, this time the backing card is from Ann-Marie designs.. the butterflies and flower as well as the feathers are made with vellum for a softer more delicate look.  The above two cards have been entered into the Julia Spiri challenge blog.

Back again

Time to show some more creations. The first one is one of my faves, very easy to make. I used a Bee Crafty Stamp Mona Lisa, the papers are from Joanna Sheene, which I slightly inked and added ink splats using more Bee Crafty stamps. The card stock and added embellishments I think give it a more rustic feel.
The gorgeous metal embellishment is from Bee Crafty's steampunk junk range, you really must check it out.

I then used some of Bee Crafty's gorgeous steampunk papers in creating a gift bag.  They are also bringing out some very yummy steampunk stamps this March.... yippeeeeeeee.

For today I have gone for a completely different look using mainly dies and some dotty cardstock.  The sentiment is from one of Lindsay Mason's collections.

I promise to blog more often and to give out spot prizes of crafting candy. Don't forget to check out Bee Crafty and also come and join in the crafting fun at Carley's crafty army on fb.

Okay, time to apologize for not blogging recently.  Joy's of having a teenage son who breaks his laptops then uses his mothers!

I've been spending some time trying different styles of cards and having fun.  I won't admit to how much went in the bin whilst trying these makes.

I normally struggle with Clean and Simple makes, so that was my first challenge. Here are some of the makes I made xx

I used linen cardstock to layer up, then some distress inks with water sprinkled onto it and the odd gem added.  The dies are some of my favourite from Sweet Dixie.

Again I used distress inks for the back ground and to make the flower.  The leaf die is by Sweet Dixie, the sentiment is a stamp by the fabulous Bee Crafty Stamps.

For this one I stamped the Bee Crafty Stamps butterfly several times and inked it up. The sentiment die is one of Tim Holtz.

I hope you enjoy my attempts at the clean and simple style :)
