Have just received some of the fabulous Creata metallic card, so I just had to play with it.  I've used a Sherri Baldy digi image and coloured in pro-markers.

The bells were made using a 'glitter girls' embossing board and the bells paper is from a Creata paper pad, the flourishes are also available at creata.

Well, first of all sorry for the lack of blog updates recently.  Life has been hectic , health problems in the family with my son and my Dad has just found out he has cancer.  So crafting has been on the back-burner.

I had great fun making this card .  The papers were all Creata papers as were the die cut flowers, butterflies and bird.  The lattice sections at both top corners were made using the 'card stand' die from Creata.  The digi was coloured with pro-marker's.

I used two shades of the fantastic Creata mirror card which I embossed with 'cogs' and 'crackle' folders, I also added a darker mirror card from Creata that was die cut into cogs.  The image was coloured in pro-marker's and the mini embellie pendant was a kind happy post gift from my sis Michelle Golding x

Glamoureyes digi

Fabulous Glamoureyes have released another digi (also available in stamp form).  So, I just had to have a go at colouring it and making a card.  You can order from; .http://glamoureyes.myshopify.com/  or come and join the facebook group and get all the information about releases first.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/149926178545903/ .  Well here is my DT card using the fantastic 'strength' digi and sentiment.

For this card I started off by using an 8x8 blank card, added some black basic card, then grey line paper from Creata, and then embossed some Creata mirror card to go on top.  I layered the toppers in similar fashion and coloured using pro-markers.  The embellishments were made using basic black card and Creata dies.

Well, here is my DT card for the paper-piecing challenge.

For my card I have used papers from an old Kanban kit.  Unfortunately it is no longer in print.  I have started by putting some mirror card onto an 8x8 scalloped blank card.  Then the papers have been cut into four sections and added, a fine marker has been used to add the faux stitching effect.

The digi was printed onto some 'colour me' smooth white card and coloured in pro-markers.  The blouse and the trousers have been made using the piecing effect, and using the papers as shown in the background.  A greeting has been layered onto mirror card.

The flowers are made from stamps and have simply been cut out and layered up. Flourishes and a butterfly made with the mirror card finish off the look.

What a busy week it has been, now having time to enter a few challenges.  Below is a quick card I did for the Creata challenge.  The theme was colour based and to use orange and sky blue.

Glamoureyes new digi release

All exciting over at Glamoureyes as new digi's are being released into the shop.  Here is a card made with the fabulous Francesca that was released this evening.

I wanted the digi image to stand out, therefore decided to make the other elements and die-cuts using centura pearl card stock.  I  added pearl hat pins and beads.  The pearl brad is from Creata and is available through Create and Craft.

Three different pinks from my pro-markers were used on the main parts of the digi and I added diamond sparkles to the hat and dress.  Why not pop along to my friends blog and see the fabulous card she created using the digi image.

 This is my card for the Carley Duff at Creata blog challenge.  I've been a 'bit flexible' with the theme.  The theme being special occasions and my special occasion is the Creata show on Create and craft tv on a thursday with Carley lol....  one way to put some colour into your life,,, hence black and white turning to colour.

Glamoureyes personalised digi of my son

Artistic Inspirations Challenge - buttons

New challenge over at http://artisticinspirationschallenges.blogspot.co.uk/    The theme is using buttons!!!  I know how painful it is to part with buttons, believe me I feel your pain....  (advice, just place them on a card - don't stick them, then you still have them to play with).  ha ha.  I've put two examples further down, why two you may ask?  Was I over-keen or did I do it in error?  The judges are out.

The above uses an adorable digi image from Sassy Studio.  I've put the digi onto white 'colour me' card from Hunkydory and coloured in grey pro-marker's with a touch of cerise.  Yes I've used buttons... but are they stuck down? lol.  The papers are from an old Kanban paper pad the Mechanica and Industrianna set.

Another fabulous Sassy Studio digi used and coloured with purple tones in pro-markers and the skin being in grey tones.  The toadstools are from a fairy stamp set from ;  http://glamoureyes.myshopify.com/  who also have a facebook group; https://www.facebook.com/groups/149926178545903/  .  I have used a 'Tonic' punch and lace flowers that have buttons placed onto them.

For the card, I used and 8x8 square card and added some krafte card, then some dotted card.  For the lattice effect I used the Tonic gothic borders and the Tonic lace punch.  The sentiment is from Polkadoodles and the cakes are made using the Martha Stewart modelling clay.

The above card uses a fabulous and adorable digi from Glamoureyes and is available at; http://glamoureyes.myshopify.com/ .  I used an 8x8 card blank and then put some bronze mirror card on from Creata.  I then put some core-dinations pink card through two different embossing folders (musical notes) and (snowflakes), then sanded it to bring white through.  Instead of snowing snow I decided it would be snowing musical notes from an old music sheet, also used the sheet as the ground at the bottom.  The digi was coloured with my trusted pro-markers. 

For this card I used my good old faithful book-a-trix embossing board.  I layered cream pearl card with gold mirror card.  The toppers are from an old Kanban kit.  I used several dies for embellishments and the flowers are from; http://www.wildorchidcrafts.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=108

New UK my besties challenge

Yaaayy it's time for another fantastic challenge over at http://mybestiesuk.blogspot.co.uk/  .  This time the theme is 'circles'.  Below is my DT example following the 'circle' theme.

I've kept the design relatively flat (we all know postage costs these days).  I've put  basic blue card onto a card blank and then added some Creata double-sided card stock.

I've used two Spellbinder dies for the circles, some have been used around the edges to look like going off the page..

The main focus of the card is an adorable Sherri Baldy image that has been coloured in pro-markers.  The image can be found along with many more at; http://www.etsy.com/shop/SherriBaldy .

I've then added some flat-backed pearls and buttons that tie in with the colours on the digi.  The heart die-cut is from Creata's double-sided card pack.

I hope you like the simple look to this card, that is achievable by anyone... well I've proved that, I've made it ...

For this card I have used and 8x8 card blank, then layered using Creata mirror card in red and black and Creata line paper.  The sentiment is a polkadoodles one.  I embossed the black card using a crackle effect embossing plate.  The small cake was made using Martha Stewart crafting clay, then coloured with pro-markers.  The digi itself is coloured in pr-markers and the skin tones are done in greys to give an alternative feel.

For this card I have started with a....yep , another 8x8 card blank!  Again I have used the delicious Creata mirror card.  The papers used are also from Creata and available through Create and Craft or Creata on line.  The flowers are made using a mix of the papers and mirror card with roses placed in the centre.  The digi image is coloured with my good old faithful pro-markers.

Here are a couple of cards I have done today using their fabulous digi's.  The one below is one of the new Christmas images.

For this card I used an 8x8 card blank and  layered up some Creata double-sided card and some centura pearl card with a hint of silver  from Crafter's Companion.  The snowflake borders are from http://www.creataonline.com/ .  Have added some pearls for extra dimension and interest.  The digi has been printed onto 'colour me' cardstock from Hunkydory and coloured with pro-markers.  I have added a tiny gem and some diamond stickles to the snowflake on the shoe.

For this card I have used my bookatrix board, Creata mirror card and several dies. I have also taken some pages from a book (from a car boot sale), and inked slightly using Sheena Douglass stamps.  The digi again has been coloured with pro-markers and have gone for the sepia tones.

Xmas cards

Don't you just love thinking about Christmas this early? LOL.  As you can see I'm kind of hooked on using blues at the moment.  The image is a Sherri Baldy digi available from http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/156596356/instant-download-digital-digi-stamps-big?ref=shop_home_active  .  I have used an 8x8 card blank, then layered with Creata silver mirror card and centura pearl card with a hint of silver.  On top of that is more mirror card ant then some more centura that has been embossed with the 'swiss dots' embossing folder. The sentiment is from Lindsay Mason Designs, sold through Personal Impressions stockists.  I have then used a spellbinders holly die along with a swirl die to embellish.  Flat backed pearls and diamond stickles are also used.

The second card again uses an 8x8 blank card, onto that is added layers of centura pearl card stock along with some art deco papers from Creata http://www.createandcraft.tv/Creata_4_Deco_Packs_of_Craft_Paper_238133.aspx?fh_location=//createandcraft/en_GB/$s=creata  also Creata glittered paper. The greeting is a die cuts with a view sticker.  Two embossing folders have been used on the centura card for extra dimension, again swiss dots and snowflakes. Snowflake border cutting files are available through   http://www.creataonline.com/.  To embellish the card I have gathered some white lace along the bottom, added some clear dew drops and a few pearls which were from Wild Orchid crafts.
